The Kentish Polocrosse Club will host a carnival at Gowrie Park on Sunday March 7 with the finals in all divisions to be held the following morning. Teams from all over Tasmania and a team from Trafalgar in Victoria will compete in the event. The Trafalgar team will play the Tasmanian team for the Bass Strait Cup which was initiated last year.
Polocrosse is a uniquely Australian game which is fast and furious, making it a wonderful spectator sport. While the gates are closed to prevent loose horses from getting onto the road, spectators are very welcome and entry is free. A full canteen will be operating with a licensed bar in the evening.
